Christmas Lights in Coventry

I wish I could have got these a lot better, but as Coventry done us proud with the Christmas lights, I just wanted to share them.
They looked really beautiful this last Christmas as opposed to the dreary little display the year before.
I tried to get as many different angles that I could.

They were taken in varying stages of the evening drawing in, so it was more practice for settings etc. for me.
The Nero Cafe' (The Round cafe as we call it in Coventry) looked so beautiful with the blue lights all the way around.
It was good fun though as I hadn't been out properly with my camera for ages.

They looked so much better viewing them first hand, Heather, and it was hard to get them to look anything near as good in the shots.

Nice work though Tina, er I mean "Stargazer"! Did you have the EV set to something like -1 so the lights were exposed correctly?

Thanks all. It was freezing but I enjoyed being out at night to get some lights, as we don't go out too much during the dark nights, but it was pretty busy in town with lots of people around, even with it being a Sunday, so we were quite safe.

Chris, I just altered the speed, aperture and ISO as it got darker.

I need more practice with settings at night, but as we don't venture out much in the dark, especially carrying a camera I don't get the much needed practice.lol.
