Borth Beach, Wales UK

Took this picture on the beach at Borth in Wales, May 2009 (I will start posting new stuff when I can get out and about to take some, honest).  It was only after I returned home that I found out about the amazing tree stump forrest that is uncovered by the sea at Borth when the tide is low.  Well worth a visit in the right conditions judging by the great pictures that can be found on the web.  

 

I was going to wait until the chap had left the beach but I liked the way his contemplative stance match the serenity of the scene.

It all comes together nicely. My first thought was that the shadows were too harsh, when in fact they lead you nicely to the textures in the sand. :yes
