Chris / Phil. Now this is useful feedback. It gets me thinking not only about the composition, and I agree the rail around the deck is an eyesore, but also what might work from a processing perspective with some further tweaks. But I am enjoying a different way of processing to see how things come out. I went and popped a single RAW through some simple adjustments for levels etc. Then I went extreme and popped a copy through Topaz Adjust and wound up the sliders. I then increased the brightness of the topaz layer and just blended it with the original shot. I have to try these things. :)

Looking at this objectively I can see how this would benefit a number of pictures, especially bit sky shots, I like it a lot,

Thanks Geoff. And the sky was my main reason for trying this. It was a bit flat, and I wanted to add some punch and see if I could get some light behind the clouds and down on the sand.
