Westonbirt enchanted woodland

Went and had a wander around the local arboretum lastnight, they do an illuminated woodland walk at this time of year, was hard to get many decent shots due to the amount of people there, was very hard getting my tripod set up without getting knocked about and we had to stick to a very narrow trail unlike in the daytime when you can wander freely around the trees. just going through the shots I managed to get, this is one of the more decent ones I managed, its not great but I kinda liked it. will carry on trawling through the rest and see what I managed to get, if anything.........

Once a week, in the late 60s, I travelled to school from Cirencester to Bristol. The bus's meander took us past the Westonbirt Arboretum - always a treat but especially in autumn.

im thinking about getting an annual membership, its a beautiful place, and so different throughout the different seasons, autumn is for sure the best but theres plenty of interest for the whole rest of the year, plus its only 20 mins from home for me.

The lighting has certainly presented you with an interesting photographic opportunity. The trees remind me of soft corals under a dark night time ocean.
