Magic Trackpad

Recommended Posts

anyone use a trackpad with their i mac?

I am testing the i mac that I am seriously thinking of buying here, but it has a trackpad not a mouse.

Just wondering if the trackpad is worth persevering with or just go buy a mouse and stick the pad on ebay?

although I'm not sure about the 27" screen its a bit BIG

You will get used to the size of the screen. (Probably by sitting a bit further away from it?) I know I started with a 17" iMac and now use a 21.5" iMac, and I couldn't imagine going back.

Trackpad versus mouse - it's very much a matter of what you find most comfortable. Some people prefer one, some prefer the other. What I will say is, whichever option you go for (especially if it's the mouse) download the free BetterTouchTool app which gives you so many more options, there being no useful extra buttons. I can for example, use taps on my mouse to go 'Home' or 'End' instead of having to take my hands off and use the keyboard instead.
