I've loads of cameras but only the draconian 35mm fully mechanical dinosaurs are truly waterproof.

A Dslr is out of the question ,especially a waterproof one.....lol

This leaves an opening for a new companion in my stable :)

Been looking at a Fuji XP30......

Needs to be less than £100

Your thoughts and suggestions welcome.

i had a fuji xp30...........i had it for a year, nice little pocket camera, however, it let water in about the third time it went near water...the lens area filled with water. and no i was not taking it deep sea diving for hours.....it had only been dunked just lens level with the water surface.

Generally they're pretty reliable - image quality is ok but nowt to shout home about - AF is decent, the menu layout is excellent and they're fairly quick.

None of the underwater compacts produce excellent results - small folded lenses see to that - but you can't take a good quality compact underwater so you makes your choice.

what waterproof 35mm cameras do you have?

Can't remember the model (not seen light of day for at least a couple of decades now) but do remember it was a 70's Pentax.

One day I'll find the bugger when I get round to clearing the loft.
