That's rather atmospheric, where is that lighthouse?

I always lighthouses and similarly shaped structures quite difficult to photograph, because - and I know how this sounds - they're just straight up and down(!) I have difficulty finding a coherent context for them.

It the lighthouse at Southerness in Dumfriesshire - now't much there other than a caravan park.

I think its leaning because of the looking up angle, I could 'correct' it but not worth the effort for a simple shared shot.

As to the rule of thirds - its there as a guide and works for some images but is also there to be bent, broken or simply chucked out of the window :-)
