Taken using the Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8 Image Stable lens

Max Zoom as well, Had to wind up the ISO to get a fast enough shutter speed to keep the image as sharp as I could without Graining

good DOF, the Heron is too light though. how far away were you?

About 20 Meters, yes the image looks a lot brighter on here,

No its a different shot, the same bird yes lol..

I was using a 70-200mm lens, so as it sat and posed for me I took a few differing images

Wouldn't say 400 iso was particularly high, a 7D will go way beyond that without noise showing, also I'd have expected a L Series to be way sharper than this.

Shame about that and the over exposure - it could have made a really good shot.

Yes kinda wierd, that we spend hours trying to capture images sitting still, and Im on a boat lol
