The White Horse

I really can't decide about this one. I like the concept and the composition with the different 'layers' through the scene, but I can't help feeling the palette is a bit too contrasty.

Although the speedboat wake is a great 'layer' in itself, it has become a whiteout as opposed to the skier's wake where texture is still evident. It's only a small part of the picture, but it is a direct positional counterbalance to the white horse so the eye is drawn there

(hope that makes some kind of sense)

It's a nice picture, but what's that white ghosting around the white horse legs, especially the front legs?

Your right Chris, to get the horse highlighted I isolated it and with the strong sunlight coming from back left It was the best I could achieve , maybe you know of a better way?? that would be helpful,--Thanks for your feedback,

You're lucky in that it's against a fairly featureless stretch of shallow water - it would be a moment's work to clone the water so it fills the 'ghosty, whiter shade of pale'.
