Hi Paul

First off I am no wildlife 'tog but my two pence worth - from a selling prints point of view.

From my experiences it seems good, natural, wildlife pictures outsell landscapes with the possible exception of local interest scenes.

1. + well lit, sharp, unusual pose - no eyes (I know never are when yawning), crop some of the back off?

2. + beautifully lit, stylistic, - crop in tighter and burn down the back neck that remains to leave head and a little neck.

3. love this, beautifully lit thoughtful composition and pose.

4. Very cute, nicely lit - no eyes again and whilst it may well sell as an editorial image a print us unlikely to sell to other than the owner I would think.

5. Probably the weakest the head or the whole animal seems to be the way to go - e.g.

what does this convey as an image on it's own?

So consider reducing the image to this?

Also the detail in the face is a bit flat, work to bring out tonal range and show the muscles more; a very rough example.

Selling prints can be hard work until you have made a name, so specialise on a subject, only show your very best, and don't be afraid to stick to a price. If price alone determines if you sell refuse the sale; if you work is good enough it deserves the right price.

Thank you Bill, I really appreciate your time and comments. You've made some good points especially with the last image. What I will do is give you a call and discuss my options and any advice you can give me. Once again thank you very much for your critique, it's very much appreciated
