At Ramsey 1940s event 2014, this talented and lovely lady was entertaining the crowd in the big tent and managed to get a number of people dancing as well (during the day, not just at the evening dance which I am told was very good).

 

First a fairly standard performance picture:

Then one without flash. This was a nightmare because of the stage lighting being placed quite low so her face was comparatively shadowed. I've introduced noise and given it a duotone just for fun and I quite like the effect.

The effect in 2 is different but suited to the era

Its good to see Joanne belting it out, she is one of the few, that not only gets them dancing but keeps them dancing

Nice Pics Bugs, I know Lola  she performs every year at the the 1940's weekend/s held on the Seven Valley Steamline, I have quite a few pics of her performing.
