I've fiddled on for a few days with these images and have finally flung up my hands - there is something not quite right about this shot but its the best of the bunch I took while on holiday and I wanted to share at least one of them.

It is actually three shots stacked together using Helicon Focus - one focused on the brown rock, one in the middle and one at the background as I wanted a greater DoF field than I could achieve doing it in-camera.....ad no the one with limited DoF doesn't look better, though by now I'm not convinced its worse either  :wallbash:

I actually like it a lot, but I could see almost immediately what COULD be wrong. Bear with me...

That processing is all about textures - rocks, moss, water. It's kind of HDR, with all the levels equalised.

In such a shot, I wonder ... is the motion blur in the water appropriate? It would be fascinating to compare two versions :

1. The shot as above, but with the water as fully textured as everything else, i.e. no motion blur.

2. A more conventional shot of it, with blurry water.

Does that make sense?
