One of the singers who was entertaining the visitors at Woodhall Spa last weekend. She had a fabulous rich but clear voice that pretty much stopped me in my tracks. Unfortunately it was trying to rain, the light was against me and she was under a green gazebo so that played havoc with the white balance, even shooting raw.

 

This one I converted to mono but it still looked flat so added a touch of sepia. Hopefully I'll see her again to get some decent pictures and maybe a video as well if I remember to take the microphone.

 

If anyone fancies having a play to improve it, then please go ahead.

Nice shot, full of character. I like the catch light in her eye and you caught her at a good moment - something, I have discovered, which is tricky to do with singers - I always seem to get between facial expression gurns :)
