Flower and Bug

Recommended Posts

A beautiful flower with a simple composition (just a bit spoiled by the two yellow petals intruding at the bottom) and enhanced by the cooperative hoverfly.

Sorry bugmeister- the two 'ears' were hidden by the notification bar and went unspotted till I posted and then I was just lazy :yes

Nice - how did you get the background so dark?

Chris, I think it was a product of evening light and shooting downwards into shadow  towards the ground. The flower itself was raised quite high and in full sun which also allowed for  a high shutter speed. (1/1000). The shooting downwards is why the bug looks as if it is on its head. ( It was shot through my living room window, leaning out a tad)

 regards, Rob.
