Common (brown) Plume moth ?

Recommended Posts

Spotted this thing flittering about and tracked it to where it settled, and yes it was on a reed stem in the river so I came close to doing an 'annie' and falling in.

Taken this morning at Wicken Fen in Cambridgeshire. Early season for them?

Oh he is so lovely, I love all the moths, they fascinate me. A lovely shot Bugs..

Please please please don't do a me and fall in.... !

I may well have a day at Wicken soon, if you can stand to put up with me let me know when your gonna be there, I don't really fancy wandering around those more out of the way places alone.

I have just joined the Suffolk Wildlife Trust and have some places on their list I really want to visit too....

There are still areas blocked off because of the rain. The nature trail (where I went with you and Brian) is currently closed completely, and the trail we went with John is very soggy so don't rush.
