In the early nineties, when I was old enough to know better and digital wasn't around, I rode my push bike from Oz to the UK. It seemed like a good idea at the time. 

Anyway, while in India I took these shots, plus hundreds more and thought you might like to see a few. They were only taken on an instamatic so they're not great and I scanned them this afternoon. Look at the road surface in #1.

Brings back a few memories for me. I spent some time in India a few years back and the roads are something hard to believe unless you see them first hand. Then there is the requirement to sound your horn if you are behind another vehicle, it gives the impression that everyone on the road is an angry driver.
