Water meadows doing their job

This is the water meadows in Sudbury, Suffolk.

 

In the summer there are longhorn cattle grazing here, and I can walk under the bridge on the right behind the swans. I think we have been very lucky compared to other parts of the country.

I can see how bad it is and the ripples on the water made by the wind.

 

The wind is terrible here and it makes it sound worse because of the plastic covering on the scaffolding round the house.

yep...we are the same. except ours is like a mini devils punch bowl, deep but not at wide...

We've got our own paddling pool just by the back door. It's a good job that our step up is a few inches or it would come in.

Mind you, we do have pretty good seals around the door,

I stepped in it last week and it was freezing.
