These rock cut graves are on the site of the ruins of St Patrick's church in Heysham. They have been photographed and documented so many times that it's difficult to come up with something new. This grade 1 listed and a Scheduled Ancient Monument has even been used as an album cover by Black Sabbath. There are often flowers left at the graves, today there were rose petals scattered on the rain water filled tombs.

How interesting. Nice shots and good mono work.

 

I know what you mean about new angles on well photographed places. I tried with the Eiffel tower when I visited France a while back. I thought I had come up with something unique but I have seen similar shots on the internet since lol. this is the 1 I took:

I've just been looking at some of the photos on the link I posted above. It shows how my photographers eyes are developing with experience; I can see a boring grey, washed out sky, low contrast, lens distortion and chromatic aberration. Six months ago I had never heard of these things, let alone identify them.
