Mirror Box Test Shots

Recommended Posts

Here are some images from last night's mirror box test shoot. There are quite a few so I have put them in a few windows!

I think over all it was a success, some better than others and I need to re-do the windows though. Although that should be easier now I know what to do :)

Let me know what you think

These are from a single fabric coated Christmas bauble:

Thanks Chris,

It is a different set up of the box for these shots - totally enclosed with reflective window film for the camera to shoot through and the light to shine into the box on 2 sides.

I think they are my favorites too :) although I like all of the 3rd sequence

Thanks guys, Still more work to do on it but I am happy, and these shots have spurred me on!

I have always wanted to make a triangular Kaleidoscope to fit the camera lens. Maybe one day.

That would take some doing Tina, but the results could be spectacular!

I keep meaning to look in Hobbycraft as they have mirror tiles etc. I remember we had proper black leatherette covered ones when we were kids and we loved them.

There are lots of things I could do and I have lots of ideas, I like the idea of crystals or jewelry - but I want a more permanent interior lighting system rigging up, something unobtrusive. I was thinking of some white, Christmas LED's along the edges of the mirrors, then I could do away with the lighting window and have 2 shooting windows instead :)
