No photographic merit here - that will come later when I bet a bit more time - but I thought I'd show you Dylan's new pets.

They are 5th Moult Hoppers - looked to be the best colours and size - and if they last long enough they might moult again and become the full blown locust you see ravaging crops....which is nice.

Going to get them a larger tank so he has space to put twigs and bits of egg box in plus he can get a few more. They're meant to be food for lizards etc so only cost £2.49 which is not bad for 9 pets and if the net searches we've done are to be believed they can live four to nine months.

To say he is excited is the understatement of the century.

being a Lizard owner, I have one piece of advice

KEEP THE BLOODY LID ON!!!!

they probably not as bad as Crickets, they get everywhere, they seem to be able to get out of the same tank thingy you have, if they breed get a tank and some gauze for the lid!!

"Your end down a bit Fred"

"Ok, but it would help if you lot would take a bit more of the weight"

"We've got it as high as we can"

"Ok, put it down, let's rethink. Maybe if we took the roof off.. Meanwhile, has anyone got the kettle on? I could murder a cuppa"

"Right, Fred"
