Fireworks

Recommended Posts

I think I would have done better with the video, Chris. I never thought until we were on our way home after the Saturday display.

A video is a good way to shoot fireworks, especially if - like me - you think you wouldn't get a decent still in 30.4166 months ;)

I don't like buying memory cards with too much memory on  as I once trod on a 16GB one and ruined it, so I wonder what size I would need to do a whole display. I usually buy 4 or 8GB.

It would be a good way to test the video on the D3200. I've only done a short test so far.
I can't say that I've use the videos on any of my camera's very much.

Do a bit of a test to see the file sizes (mine uses about 1Gb per three minutes of 1080p).

Another limiting factor is the write speed of the card. If it can't write as fast as the camera is sending, then you'll have juddery videos. Faster cards are more expensive but if you're thinking of shooting video then bear that in mind.

You won't need the fastest on the market, but see if you can find out what you would need. Your existing ones may be ok

I think I would have to do a test and see how long . My camera is 24mp so they are quite big files and I would want to video so they would fit my screen.
A bit of testing with sizes etc. before I try anything big.
I must say that I do enjoy stills more than I would do video, but it would be a challenge wouldn't it?
