A nice composition Martin, but IMO, its a little 'blown out' (over exposed), and as such, the beach, the sea, and the sky, are tending to blend into one.

 

That said, I don't think that its overexposed in the sense that all the transitions between the different areas in the image are lost. They are still there, and easily brought back to life, using such as the curves function in Photo Shop.

 

I hope you take my comments in the constructive manner that they are meant, as its not at all criticism of your work.

I positively welcome all constructive criticism Dave, please continue to view my pictures with the same sharp eyes.

 

When I saw this view it reminded me very much of a water colour painting I saw in a gallery in France many years ago. The painting was for sale but it was too expensive, instead I bought a pack of postcards that contained a print of the picture. My aim was to loose the transition between sea, sky and land. I took quite a lot of frames of this image but settled on this one because I managed to get a seagull at the top right of the picture.
