The vast majority of Scorpian Flies are females and are ordinary looking.The males look fearsome but are totally harmles.,Only the male has the 'stinger' like appendage which are its sex organs.The males mating ritual involves stealing corpses off cobwebs and presenting them to the females as a gift.In doing so they run the risk of becoming trapped themselves or being a spider victim.
