 A 100 year old Copper Beech tree was cut down in Jephson Gardens, Leamington and recycled.
They have been finished off beautifully and smooth, and polished with something like oil or varnish. As well as figurines, there are a couple of long benches.
I understand a Doctor bequeathed the money to build the park after his death for the people of Leamington to have somewhere nice to go and sit and enjoy.
Very fitting that this huge tree was recycled so it could still be enjoyed in other ways.

A fitting tribute to a beautiful tree

A fitting end indeed. After so many years of giving visual pleasure it will now be useful to both people and bugs for many years to come

The back of the first one has been carved out to be a hooded seat. I think the person who carved them must have a very imaginative mind and very skilled hands..
