I thought his camera was part of his outfit and act. turned out it's his favourite camera for these events and he develops the film himself. i was amazed.

I love these events! Everyone really gets into the spirit with the authentic dress etc.

 

I'd be lost with that camera though, the film would be going straight to Boots

it was a brilliant day, i am still buzzing from the music...glen miller and all the war songs, and the swing dancing. i would join in if i could, the ladies all looked so lovely.

 

that camera would be a complete and utter mystery to me, he was very eager to tell us all about it. it had been his fathers, and his father had taught him how to develop film.  the semi pro photographer who i seemed to spend all day with was very impressed, but confessed he would not know where to begin...

I started with an agfa 120 folding camera, just like that one, didn't know you could still get film for them.

i asked the question about film for these old camera. seems you can still get them...specialist places i suppose...wonder what they cost?
