Just a try out with my new Nikon D3200 body which arrived this morning.

I took the shot very quick and just managed to autofocus on Star through the bars of the indoor hutch.
It was just to basicallly to checkl that the camera was working OK.

Star was getting impatient to come out as the first one who is on her own was out for the first playtime.
12 midday is the time that Star and Angel have their first playtime as Gwyneth has her first playtime in the morning on her own, due to her wanting to kill the other two younger ones. lol.
Can you see the "Please let me out" look in her eyes?
She is smaller and more delicate than a pet rat, due to being bred down for size by unscrupulous previous owners. She has already lost the sight in one eye maybe due to the same reasons or in-breediing, and she's not 4 yet.
She is so sweet and loveable I hope she will be with us for a long time yet.

Pic from the Nikon D3200 with the 55-200mm, in built flash and no editing apart from slight cropping along the edge.

She is a lovely little girl with not one nasty bone in her body. I adopted a kit when star was a year old and the first time that she met Angel who was only 8 weeks old, she ran and hid behind the settee.
Now they are bosom buddies and adore each other. Its great to watch them playing like mad together.
I'm not sure if "Angel" was the right name for the younger one as she is totally mad.

Its hard to photograph ferrets when they are awake lol. I shall have to bribe them with Ferret Vitamin oil which they love.

Even Gwyneth, who came to me because she was a biter and needed more one to one attention than the rescue had time to give her, is so soft with humans now.

I love my babies, and have adopted Gwyneth as she was my last foster when the rescue closed after more than 25+ years of being open and never turning a ferret away.

When these three go, which I hope wont be for a long time, I will think about adopting just one middle aged or elderly ferret who doesn't like other ferrets and would rather live with humans. Being 70 at the end of this year, I will have to think of how well I can care for them in my old age, and I would want to give it the best care that I could.
