Trois boîtes en fer or 3 French tins!    

I think I like this one but in hindsight a greater depth of field might have improved the image?

My thoughts:

The DOF issue might have been improved by the left hand tin being the foreground with the other two receding into the background (angled 45º minimum)

OR 

A crop from the left hand edge of the near tin to the left hand portion of the furthest tin, with some off the top and bottom to make it tighter and less square.

Otherwise, I agree with you - more DOF would have been good. Also, looking at those fascinating tins and labels, some colour?
