Remote photography

I finally managed to connect the TZ60 via WiFi to my ipad mini.

I downloaded the Panasonic Image  App and had a go at connecting.

Here is my first try at remote photography using the App for settings etc.

Chris, if you haven't already tried it, you might find it useful.

Except I don't have an iPad! Maybe I should get one... (would it connect through a Kindle Fire? Would be worth splashing out the £50 for one if it does).

I will have a look at the Kindle Apps later, Chris to see if the have it in their collections.

If it did work with Kindle, that would probably be better, due to the smaller size and lighter weight.

Just found this on the web.

I just typed in Panasonic image app for Kindle  Fire and it gave me several links and info.

Haven't had time to read them as my daughter is taking me grocery shopping early today.

I am going to read up on the app later, as I will put it on my fire if it is compatable.

I just tried the above link again and have now downloaded the app.

It looks the same as the one for iPad, but haven't tried it yet.

The forward arrows across to progress to the he,t step on the download site were a bit small on the kindle and right at the bottom, but downloading and Installing it was pretty straight forward . I finally spotted the little arrows to forward to the next step.

I don't know, but I would guess so as it's been updated several times.

If I have success with the Kindle and the Tz60 I will let you know how it goes.

This one was done from start to finish using the Kindle Fire and the TZ 60' with the Panasonic Image app remote control with WiFi, Chris. So It does work with the Kindle and the iPad mini.

I also transfered the pic to the Kindle using the app and uploaded it to Photobucket from Amazon Photos.

It was a bit fiddle trying to hand hold the camera, but for use with any temple or clamp for the camera, it would work well.

It would be good for shooting birds at the garden feeder as you could sit out of their way so as not to frighten them off.

Still having problems with the forum, so I will give it one last try, but whatever happens, at least you know it will work with the Kindle Fire.
