Ooh, nice! You don't see many chimneys these days, let alone decorative ones.

Though they mostly have gas or other cowls stuck on top in the picture. There used to be some really elaborate ones in the past. We use to break up loads of them for hardcore before people started to pay stupid prices for them to grow flowers in! Mind you they are dear now if you want to buy a plain new one, I guess because so few are still used and made.

Chimney pots are an in-joke in our family. Years ago my parents used to buy them in Olney for their rather large garden to use as ornaments and plant pots; muggins here was the one who used to have to stagger around with blasted Victorian chimney pots and I can't stand the sight of them now!!
