I attended a charity event on friday and at the last minute the head chef asked me to take some food images.

A little unfair, all depends on what he needs the images for? Are we looking at his presentation skills, if so I'm not sure any work that well for that?

Nothing wrong with your pictures (maybe a bit more depth on the last one) I think next time he needs to give you a little more notice.

Thanks for the input. I had no notice at all and just asked me as the food was ready to be served.

I think if i was asked to do it again i would use a tripod and set the food in a pleasing place rather than the 'serving counter'

I am more interested is the comments of the pictures (colour, depth, focus, composition etc) rather than the food its self as i had no control over that.
