A view from the back garden

These are both heavy crops, shot from my back garden of one of the nesting pair of kites about 100 metres away. These kites do pretty well from our little row of houses and don't seem remotely bothered when the kids play in the field their tree borders. The nest has been re-used a few years in a row now.

Anyway, nothing to write home about photographically, but a nice little glimpse of a bird normally seen on the wing whilst busy patching up the old nest. The weather was dull and dreary so the ISO was pretty high.
