Had a quick play, didn't have much computer time so certainly not refined.  The 'Ghost Bride' is a picture I took of a friend at her wedding.  If I could do this right, I know she would like it more than the original lol.

I actually like the full picture, the way the clump of seaweed on the foreground draws the eye to the castle along the beach. I think the edit has lost something valuable, well that's how I see it.

I like the full length too Chris but this edit has made the colours stand out better than I managed to get and really shows up that reflection better. Paul did you up the contrast to get to this?

Funny how we see things differently I see the bottom third seaweed and all as a distraction from the wonderful reflection in the first tide pool.

 

Cathy I used a gradient exposure on the sky to darken it down then added simple S curve to increase contrast and saturation.

Graham's edit, but with the seaweed left in......because it helps to lead in the eye to that wonderful reflection then the main subject.

I think that's what Fuji meant? In other words, your edit needs to extend down to include the seaweed?

But the one I edited has no seaweed, it is a different picture, the first of the pair lol
