Hints and tips

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I'm looking for some hints and tips if anybody can offer any to me. I've been interested in photography for a long while and studied it back in 2005 and gained a diploma in photography (Yay go me!) however spent a few years away from photography, I started again in 2015 and then had a bit of a break once again and I'm back again.

I've not shot any people at all since 2005 when I did studio portraiture as my end of year project, now I'm back I'd like to get back into portraiture and am working with a local model next week who wants a beach themed photo shoot that we're both doing on a TFP basis. My issue is I'm a naturally shy person and I've not worked with a model for a long long time but I'm trying to get any tip[s on how best to pose her, ideas for shots, basically any help that anyone can give on how to build up a rapport with models would be a massive help!

Does anybody have any hints and tips for me?
