A Bit of Cygnet

I ended up staying at the lake for another week, so had a bit more time to play with my Sony Bridge, and I just couldn't resist as the Cygnet was sleeping.

Ooh It's not easy to make that out Tina ... I wouldn't have known it was  a young swan from that angle .. The parents can be very protective  can't they .? Lovely to see you out and about with your camera again Missus..

Thanks, Polly.. I just thought that angle would be unusual. I tried it in it's natural colour but it didn't look right so I played with it in Photoshop Express mobile on my tablet to make it a bit different.

Yes, the dad was quite hissy, but they all came very close and stayed by us for a long while.

I went for a walk around the lake a couple of times with my twelve year old granddaughter and showed her what to look for so she could use her phone camera for other things than selfies. We quite enjoyed ourselves together.
