  1. Hi Bill, firstly welcome back as I understand you have been absent for a short while, I'm obviously flattered to have my name mentioned and I hope I can live up to such high expectations. I'm currently at work at the moment but I understand from Fuji that I should pm you a few examples of my work for you to maybe critique and advise on if that's ok?

  2. If your camera has live view use it, pop it on evaluate metering so it takes an average from the whole frame, you'll want manual focusing and focus approx 1 third in to the frame at f 11 to give you near hyper focal focusing iso as low as you can then pop it in to live view and tweak the shutter speed until your happy then take the shot. Use a cable release so you minimise shake and cover the eye piece to stop ambient light entering the body which can throw the metering off

  3. There are times where I see images from "pro's" and people say how wonderful they are and I think "really?" But at the end of the day it's the public that make or break a photographer and if the general consensus is that it's a good image then who am I to argue

  4. It will be my last purchase for a while, I'm very excited but also sweating a bit lol I've just bought a Canon 600mm f4 is prime. It was a lot of money but I'm seeing it as an investment it should last a lifetime fingers crossed. I'm now ready to take wildlife photography seriously :)

  5. Normally dust in the lens won't cause issues because it's too close to focus on, I would take the lens off and hold the camera up to the light and look through the view finder just in case but if not then a replacement is cheap enough

  6. Just thought I'd let you know, the local zoo has emailed me asking if they can use one of my images for their social media page to encourage visitors to share their photos. They want to use one of my Koi pics I done there a while ago they didn't say which one but I reckon it will be this one. Just thought you may be interested :)
