  1. Quick update, I have an investor who has kindly offered to pay the costs on the proviso that if I make a sale we split the money. He has already bought one of my images so I think the plan is if I sell in the exhibition then it would raise the value of his piece. I'm not sure what to do, I've emailed the gallery asking questions but I would really like to find out more about them before committing to anything, I just don't know how to go about doing that

  2. Hanging in the Louvre! Next to your good friend Mona Lisa, I hope...

Just one thing - they keep on referring to your pictures as "artworks" (which they are of course), but do they realise they are photographs?

Yes mate, they put an add out for painters, photographers and sculptors
  3. I just don't know what to make of it either. I never thought they would get back to me but they did. As you can see they have invited me to Paris but I don't even have a passport lol I really don't know the protocol for this sort of thing so I have contacted the Royal Academy of Art for some advice so I hope I hear back from them

  4. I done it Fuji :) ok I didn't realise how much it cost and I can't afford it but I got accepted and that's good enough for me :)

  5. Thank you Fuji, the response I've had has been amazing, twitter went crazy. Thank you for everything from advice to constant pushing, it's very much appreciated :)

  6. I was over the moon Colin, I still am, I don't think it's quite sunk in yet. I'm currently exploring another avenue, I have contacted WWF and asked if I could donate one of my images to them, they said it was a lovely idea and would contact me next week so fingers crossed they accept as it will mean more exposure for me :)

  7. A bit out of the blue but I received an email from Hahnemühle FineArt UK today. Here is the email

    Hi Paul,

Many thanks for sending over your email address.

I came across your twitter page this morning and I must say that I love your images in particular the primates and the rhinos.

Have you ever used or tried any of our papers before?

We have a large exhibition coming up in March (The Photography Show) and we are currently trying to source images to be printed on our papers and displayed on our stand. I wondered if you would be interested in letting us use one of yours? We have finalised any details yet as we are still trying to finalise the stand layout but I think your images would look great on our paper.

I hope to hear from you soon.

    Kind regards,

    Heidi

  8. First time I've seen this and I must admit I quite like it, very simple in terms of composition but it works so well. Sometime the simplest ideas are the best, and the mono conversion just finishes it off perfectly. Well done :)
