  1. I think my investment would be mainly in doing the free shoots and the referral to the website I give them. this is where they see the photos and say they love or hate them.
And I hope word would go around like that.

The flatcoated retriever walkies for example was also a great opportunity to do photos and they all end up on facebook, watermarked but they do get around as the walks are very much promoted so are the photos.

Here one of the FC walks(I did mention this in another post)

I must say the feedback I got on the walkies photos are brilliant

  2. It arrived and it seems sturdy, much better than the silvercrest one.
A different system to what I am used to. No shake any more, only if I leave my battery pack on (generic)
the only complaint is the head which moves quite slowly but I can replace that when I want to.

I did test it in the garden in the sea breeze with my 150-500 too. only at the highest level the legs bend a tiny bit, but I doubt if I will use it that way any way.

  3. thank you for that website that is a very good tool.

I will try it with my 150-500mm as the description suggest it holds up to 5kg.

Before this , I had a lidl(silvercrest) tripod,.. and with my 70-300mm I got shake from the moment it focussed,.. so that will be my main test!  And I live at the beach so the wind is there too to test

  4. From what I believe this tripod was £169 hence I thought

    1, it's a bargain

    2. if it was that expensive, it should be quality too?

I will take it out the box, try it and if it does feel same like my £15 lidl (silvercrest) I will send it back

  5. Free!

Is this site safe before telling people to download has it been checked for malware etc

Ok appears so but always check

I suggest you also right click and save target as then save the program to the desktop, don't just click download as it will install, that way you can virus check it

All checked and running it on my laptop,.. to run it you do need quite a bit of RAM I only have 6gig ram but I allocated 6 more from my Hard drive and all seem to work fine

  6. Hi all, I want your advice on this please.

I am organising a Flatcoat walk on monday and will take my d7100 with me, and tamron 70-300 and 50mm lens. should I take an external flash too?

It will be mainly black dogs in and out the water, a group shot etc. I take plenty of shots in action of my dogs but would like to know how your approach on this will be

Setup will be at earlham park in Norwich with a river to use

  7. It's horse racing today across the bridge (GY racecourse)
Now do I take my 150-500mm and try to take some shots from on top of the bridge or not? I can see part of the course there.

It a cheap way of doing it lol but I dont fance paying £35 to go and see.

I litterally have to leave my garden and get on the bridge right behind it!

  8. I do hope I made the right choice and I am confident I will try and find out everything and experiment with it more.
I needed something with weather coating as I am out a lot with wet dogs. so a few drops won't make me panic as such like I do with my d3100.

  9. Or get a Mac! You can put together a high-class photo book of your own in iPhoto and send the file off to Apple who will print it off - hardback, high quality paper - for somewhere around twenty quid.

a PC will do too,.. plenty of software and websites who do this. (my mobile does too)
