Except WordPress only gives you a blog, not a personal website as such. There are fewer possibilities.
Not at all,.. I run a shop a blog and galleries.

I just use wordpress on hostgator,..

If she sold exclusivity then I hope she got a very good price and preferably set a time limit on that exclusivity or got an even higher price. This is how the Paparazzi togs make a living. you get the shot that every one wants and either sell it at a low price to lots of people and make a lot of money or sell it to one person (or paper) for a very high price with an agreement that no one else can have it
that was my thought exactly, but doubt if the money was that good. I cant go into detail either way. I just think she has been short changed (photo was of her own dog)

I just think it is weird,.. like telling a singer they can only sing to certain people or so...
Plus would she not be better off getting paid per use? I think the company made a great deal here -
I have heard of another photographer (just starting) that she sold exclusivity rights to a company , they told her she is not allowed to show the photos anywhere. To me that sounds a bit weird? I personally think the photographer should always maintain the rights to do and use the photos where ever they want?
She in her case told them to leave watermark on the photo
What are your thoughts? -
i have a nikkor 40mm f2.8 for sale. great little lens, but too short for chasing insects lol. (£100)
extension tubes are great, i still use them combined with my sigma105mm macro i also vote for the yongnuo flashes,.. got 3 of them and never failed me

I agree about seperate layers, I also would have used the magnetic lasso and then the refine edges menu.
There are so many way of doing this, and what ever works for you works best. but working in layers gives you that bit of safety when you do something wrong and gives you more room to play as suggested aboveRichard a separate layer would have allowed you to have positioned the subject coming partially out of the frame in a true out of bounds effect.

It connects wirelessly to your computer and acts like a graphics tablet indeed. With pressure sensitivity. And it rejects the palm of your hands if you rest it on there.
-
Here an example.
I use a different app as I use pc. But I must say it's a really cool feature.
-
No black pearl. The note series have wacom built in . They are pressure sensitive too and you can rest your hands on it. .. same for the surface pros.
There is am app called air stylus for galaxy note .which makes your tablet av second screen with pressure sensitivity.
The surface pro is a fully windows Tablet with wacom built in too. You just install photoshop and your are ready to go

I started with a d3100,.. which was only 12MP i think and the ISO was not that good either. Most of my shots are outside and very seldom I put my ISO higher than 400.
I think 3fps is a little slow though. It will be interesting but maybe also a challenge
I am just glad it got the 2 dials seperate for aperture and shutterspeed.- 1

this morning I was taking photos and everything worked fine, but then I suddenly noticed that my screen did not want to switch on.
So my d7100 is now off for repair hoping the warranty will cover it.
I can not wait 4 weeks for a camera,.. so I have ordered a secondhand d80
Any thoughts about that cam? got it for £89
I hope I will like it enough to use it for 4 weeks and maybe keep it as second body -
Sorry I am later replying,.. but there are cheaper alternatives.
If you have a samsung note tablet you can use an app.
I am saving up for the surface pro 3 and I will use that as my drawing tablet- 1

I use Yongnuo which I was going to do a write up on now I have experimented with them. I also have one of their flash controllers and flash guns so they do work together well. Also, as I found recently, on the Nikon (my triggers are for Nikon) they have a lead that comes with a trigger pair that plugs into the remote release socket on the camera and then to one of the triggers giving me a wireless shutter release over quite a range.
I also use one of the triggers on a screwing type mains flash unit and it works fine by plugging the flash lead into the trigger. I think they are amazing bits of kit. Just under £19 for a pair.
I love my yngnuos!
they have never failed on me

It was a quick shot on a very short visit to happisburgh. I wonder if gradient filers would have made the photo better too etc.
-
Not sure if this has been done yet but a recent post of mine gave me the idea.
I post a photo for you to edit to improve. (i don't mean adding objects etc, just improve color or contrast. Make it hdr or so, b&W...)
The best edit will be chosen next week and the winner post the next photo to edit.
I will start here:- 1

have you ever looked at the yongnuo flashguns?
they cost a little more,.. but they are very good and not as pricey as the nikon ones.
I have 2 manual flashes of them and they are great!
