  1. So, they are forecasting some pretty good storms to be around the UK over the coming weekend. Would it be possible for any of you proper photographers to give some advice as to how to get a picture of lightning?

In simple English please, remember it's me who does not understand the techie talk.

Would I need to find my tripod?

HS50 or Canon? If it's the canon which lens?...I only have three, the 70-300, 50mm, and the 18-55. Should I use the cable release thing?

    Any help would be appreciated...

  2. Annie, the canon white lenses are the L series they are manufactured with far higher quality materials to far tighter tolerances which results in lenses that give far better quality images if used correctly. Due to being so much higher quality they are also far higher priced some running into many thousands of pounds. Most L series lenses are white in colour although some are black with a red stripe around them.

Thank you RIchard...and written in language I can understand too.  :yes

  3. We are that old Leon....

in the seventies Brian was in the Royal Engineers in Cyprus, it was when the Turkish invaded the island. Brian was at the time up in the Northern sector....and all British Military where removed from there, being an invasion. Him and his car left on a hercules...lol!

  4. Brian exited the the Turkish end of Cyprus on one of these back in the seventies when the turks invaded the island...with a car he had purchased...lol. ! He was not letting go of that car and on it went!
