  1. I think I'd rather be in a boat with my "engine" than any of yours!
  2. It seems some of us (I mean me!) need to go back and re-read the rules. To me, a boat is a boat!
  3. One of the Central Mercantile Bank's lady crews on the River Yarra at lunchtime. This is very close to my heart, as before emigrating I used to row on the Thames, very close to where Denis's Ferry entry was taken.

    Marilyn

When the travelling Marilyn Monroe Exhibition came to town, people came from far and wide to witness this universally recognised pose. Time exposure with short flash.

    Foot-Pumped Organ

Many of these foot-pumped organs were to be found in and around the larger towns in the Gold Rush period in Australia. The only lighting in this room is from one window, creating a dramatic effect.

    Kangaroo

Framed by a dead tree, this young kangaroo was busy munching on the wild orchids growing in the area.

    Musk Lorikeet

This beautifully coloured bird is one of the mid-sized Lorikeets of the North West of Victoria. They're often seen hanging upside down, feeding from the gum trees of the area.

    Well done, both. Cracking images.
  9. This old Church, now de-consecrated, is on the old Berlin goldfield. The name was changed to Rheola in 1914 with the start of WW1. Virtually nobody lives there now the gold has run out.
  10. You know, Fuzzy, I think you might be right. I think it might be a stretched version of the Standard 10 with bigger engine and 4 doors. I couldn't find one exactly the same, possibly a different year? The bonnet is slightly different. (Google photo, not mine)
  11. 'Fraid not, Fooj. All the Morrises had the ribs on the grill horizontal. And I believe the Union Jack emblem was the mark of the Standard.
  12. I just can't help myself, Korks. I promised not to tell what happened behind the battered old Bedford... They'll do anything for a Marmite sandwich and a sip of home made ginger beer.
  13. Just got back from a Photographic Foray to a local scrap metal dealer, with Kobione. One piece that caught my eye was this old girl. I'm pretty sure it's a Standard 8, but Mr Google can only come up with 2 door versions. What do you think?
