  1. The G3 was a great camera. Believe it or not, that camera cost me over $1000, probably 15 years ago. Two weeks wages. For that you can buy a pretty fancy camera today. How things have moved on. Thanks everyone for your contributions. It's just what I was hoping for. Brian ps Sorry about the spelling of Cataloging.
  2. I know that anyone with half a brain could work this out himself, but as I don't have half a brain I look to you for advise. My problem, as I acquire more photos is how to catalogue them, so that in the future, I can find them with comparative ease. In '08 I bought a Canon Powershot G3 and with it came ZoomBrowser, which I have been using ever since. When you download from your camera, it makes a new folder under the date the shot was taken. This is great if you can remember when you took the picture in question, but otherwise you have to trawl through a million photos until you hit paydirt. In short, how do you lads and lasses keep your photos in a nice tidy order and easy to find. I'd love to hear how you do it! Brian
  3. Hi Stan and welcome. I'm a newcomer here too and everyone has been very helpful and kind. I'm sure they will be to you too. Brian

    Best of 2013

I only learned how to do this yesterday (using other people's quotes), but I still think it's a darn good idea. Brian

    Perplexed!

I get the idea now! Many thanks to all concerned. Brian

    Perplexed!

Someone just HAD to do it! Thanks everyone.

    Perplexed!

I am perplexed! I see that sometimes, when replying to a specific part of someones post, you can generate a white panel with the text from the post that you are commenting on. How do you do that? The answer is probably staring me in the face but nothing seems to work. Hope you can see what I mean. Brian
  8. IPA.........Is that Isopropynol Alcohol ???? (if that's how you spell it)
  9. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!!! Thanks to everyone who has helped me so far, and to all those about to. So much to learn! Brian
  10. What a beautiful piece of work though! The sculpting reminds me of the curves on the stock of my BSA International target rifle that I owned in the UK (Devon) in a previous life.

    Self Portraits

This is a dreadful photo quality wise! But it really is a self portrait and can't remember what I took it with. The result of getting mugged by a kangaroo, while on my motorbike. Yes, the kangaroo was unscathed.
