Managed to get out and about yesterday for the first time in ages due to various health issues. Visited the Derwent Pencil Museum in Keswick, then a walk down to one of my favourite places; the view from Friars Cragg. I'm sure the shot of the gulls on the posts deserves a clever caption but I just can't think of one!

A few interior shots of the Head Gardeners office at the Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall. I was taken with the muted colours and gentle sunshine through the windows.

Whenever I see pics like this I think of "War of the Worlds." Great set!

The D850 with the 24-120 f4 is great, but it ain't half heavy. I decided I needed a light walkaround lens, something like a 35mm, so I looked around and found one on Ebay. The thing is it was a set of lenses being sold because they were faulty, unable to focus properly. I decided to make an offer, which was accepted; I can't find a fault with them!

Great set of images. I like to go out in this sort of environment after a rain shower, the reflections can be awesome!

Congratulations, a well caught image!

Since getting the D850 it's been my main camera and the rest of the cameras haven't been getting much use. My youngest daughter has been showing an interest in photography so I lent her my Nikon D5100 with the kit 18-105 lens. I've since decided to let her keep it which leaves me with no mid range zoom lens. I went onto the MPB website and bought a Nikkor 24-120 f4 zoom since this is the one that is usually paired with the D850 as a kit and is relatively cheap.

Lovely place! I was stood in exactly the same spot just a few weeks ago. Nicely captured.

Hi Homer, nice to see you on here. I look forward to seeing your images!

Spectacular view of the town I used to work in. I wonder if you can still climb to the window near the top of the spire?

That's a strange looking critter, I don't think I've ever seen one before. Nicely caught!

I may have been absent for a while due to illness, but there has been nothing wrong with my clicking finger. I spotted this beauty on MPB, listed and priced as used, never been out of the shop and used as a demonstration model with 7,000 shutter clicks. It arrived with all the accessories still sealed in the original bags. Love it!

Sad news indeed! Someone posted about Deirdre's passing on her facebook page yesterday, she will be sadly missed. She was the sort of lady who took life by the horns and lived it to the full. May she rest in peace.
Happy days with my late wife and Dee!
