my thoughts,
i am led to belive that if you wish to sell then a form is a must as they could ask for some of the returns, but for fun then it's not.
however if this guy has asked you to do the release forms then i would download and print some off, get the people who agree to sign them to sign them and take their photos.
the main reason i would do this is because once in and you are known then you may get invited to do more photography work (good experience) for the production people, which in it self could lead to portrait sessions (& sales) etc. if they are good enough then they may want to use some for their advertising posters of their shows (or whatever), so your name is getting banded about, i.e. 'all images by' 'mr wall photography'.
you may suggest that if they wish they could use some for advertising, (either charge or let them have them for free).
i would look at this as a possible opportunity and do what is asked, also find out if they want any certain images (not just going down to take snaps), make the best impression possible and if something more comes out of it (and you want to do it) then great, if not and it's just a one off then nothing lost but you still leave with a lasting impression and you got what you were after in the first place which was some photographs of people.

I used the 70-300mm lens. reason being they are flighty (no pun) insects so shooting them from a slight distance when the had landed gave me a chance of some shots, also there is a 1:2 macro setting on the lens so if you do manage to get close then you can use that. not only do they do butterflies but have nice, different flowers and plants, also some now have various other animals in a separate room.
the biggest problem with butterfly houses is the heat and humidity, give the camera/lens plenty of time to adjust to it, I wouldn't change lenses in the house, have a cloth handy just in case you need to wipe the lens.

spirit of 45

I watched a docu film called 'spirit of 45' the other night.
very interesting history from world war 1 onwards. although not about the wars, more of the social side of life, the good old days?????
it shows what our great grandparents and grandparents went through and how they lived and what a lot of our parents went through when they were growing up.
the birth of the nhs, private mines and the miners etc.
well worth watching if you can catch it, repeated on sunday at 11.15pm but worth recording if you haven't seen it.
if people think they are poor today, they no nothing.
