  1. ok so we know the weather is horrid (except dee) when I was out photographing the birds the other day they all seemed to be flat and lifeless.... is there something I can do in camera?... or do I just need to stop being lazy and (almost admits defeat) EDIT!

here's an example of a simple ducky poo's.... (edited in Flickr as I'm too lazy to use photoshop)

  2. I have been following Jason for a while now. He does get permission where possible to enter buildings. This old hotel is owned by a preservation trust and they handed him the keys for a few days to do these shoots.

More interestingly, for me, is that Jason has switched from his top end Nikon gear to Sony mirrorless cameras, A600/A700 I believe. He has shot a professional wedding at Disney USA and a trip to Ethiopia using these compact cameras with amazing results. I think, if I remember correctly, that some of the shots in the hotel above were done on them to.

the sony was an A6000.... says a lot for sony gear..

  3. I tries to get permission to go into an abandoned mill, guy at the end of the phone was a (insert swearword here____________) I understand health and safety ect but no need to be horrible when i had the decency to find the owners and take the trouble to ring and ask!... shame old buildings are cool... I personally would not enter without permission but as you said plenty do.

what you may want to do is find the fuse for the ECU and reset that, usually remove the fuse for 20 minutes or so, make sure you have a radio code and keycode for the ignition (red key on nissan not sure about Landy's)     you are in Yorkshire... as you drive through Leeds out towards Harewood opposite the BIG BMW place there is a Landy specialist...

  5. That's odd Leon - I never had you down as a troll? In my experience, only trolls make such completely irrational remarks! (Usually based on jealousy, except for the spotty pre-adolescent gamers who only get pleasure from building their own machines including the latest whizz-bang graphics cards that deliver 127.8 frames per second on Call of Auto Theft XXIII ...).

Think there may be an insult there somewhere?.... anyway I had an iphone for a year after having android for the previous 5 or 6 years I just could not get along with it, even simple tasks like adding a photo album to it took for ever and generally ended up in loosing half of the pictures I had to start with... android devices you just remove a memory card or plug in using usb and add or remove whatever you want... as for desktops I had a imac classic back in ghe day... to add a music file WITHOUT using itunes?....

I realise its all about personal choice I choose to stick to android, and I have NEVER been jelouse of a person in my life

  6. Leon get the Apple Lightning - SD reader for the iPad. Really cool for editing images from your DSLR when you're out and about....assuming you can prise if from her :-)

I have a galaxy tab thanks... non of the fruit poo for me....  I like to have a memory card I can change whenever I feel free I HATE anything apple with a passion!

thanks for the tip though :)

  7. I thought that would be the reply, to be honest I did not argue just accepted what she said and carried on... if I'd have known we lost ours before hand I would have ordered a new one, or taken a new one myself... the thing that annoyed me was her showing me the print then ripping it up in front of me, after waiting the hour....  and like I said the picture was nothing special to begin with, they had cropped the top of his hair off!!

I do like the honesty on here and I am not the type to take offence.
