I guess the old " Calibrated Monitor " issue may hit here again, but also when you starve an image in compression, then the enlarged version will be over starved, so colour detail may suffer...

Timing is everything, and this has it, very well deserved

When you have this blank greyness, I would always think " Black & White " where you can take some amazing landscape, and then utilise the sky in Monochrome, so the light pockets and blacks / greys stand out, or are enhanced in post processing...

If your looking at using the reflective surface to create the " Modern " image then yes they are great, but with studio strobes you can flare a black backdrop !!!..
The major issue is the size of the screen, as you will have to place your subjects very close to the screen, so you loose the 3D effext we cause bu altering levels of light from both sides, so with the bacdground being so close you will get a very 2D image..
Backdrops are very reasonable,
Cheers

I must add here though, in the news last week they showed some vandalism to a piece of "so called art" that was valued at over £10 Million, it was a red background with what I would call the Brown outline of a book.... You may have seen this on the BBC...
Im really sorry to all the artists out there, but the vandalism for me, added to the value, as it was on the news I would have given 20 Pence, not the 10 Pence it must have costed to paint the " Priceless " painting!! -
Manfroto 190X ProB thats what I use, a little dated now but an amazing piece of kit
I have the Manfroto 322 RC2 grip release head also

I have a coulpe of Stofens, and use them all the time to help...
But also always have a few pop up reflectors to help bounce light where needed.
With Weddings timing is always tight,
I have studio equipment too, that I will take if needed, so massive softboxes to help soften the light..

I could bore you all in " Compression " but it will alter the colour in a Jpeg, and then once enlarged the results do suffer..
