  1. Thanks Fuji, yes just a fun post... As with cloud cover you get softer light, actually much better when taking subjects... also with landscape can be more "Moody" :-)
  2. I love Freeview, as BBC are on there, and they Charge a Fortune for a TV Licence, But they are on Freeview??? mmmm so its not Freeview then is it!!!!
  3. Oh Father I will Join Your Worship !!!!
  4. Ok So Why Is It !!!!!! When your at work, doing what you do everyday.... The Sky is just superb!!!!!!! And when you get geared up, its just, well, Poo Taken on iPhone 5 Steve
  5. Im still with Virgin... but on a very loose thread, as when I last spoke to their Fantastic Customer Services, they were near abusive asking what I wanted from an Internet Service!! Which I replied "Just That, An Internet SERVICE !!! " but can't complain now, as what Im Paying at the mo, I await my Free Week with Richard on his Island !!!!!!!
  6. Many Thanks for that, I did read about this function before, but does seem to be a fairly slow way of taking the image, as usually on a tripod you have time to fix focus and switch to Manual, then to take the time to half press etc for a second when in Manual and exposed correctly, using remote trigger, the 1 second(ish) seems to be pointless waiting for... when I can switch the IS off ?? As said earlier though, I will put it through its paces on some "Fixed" Macro, to see what comes out sharper / better, as always learn hands on :-) Steve
  7. Thanks Paul, Yes noticed the old Hum from the lens today, will be putting it through its paces soon :-) Steve
  8. Well finally saved my penny's and went out and got the Canon EF100mm f2.8 L IS USM Macro today... Have spent hours playing with Spacers and tubes etc, to get frustrated when you get everything set up, and the insect dies of old age !!! lol So time to have a go with a Macro Lens !!! Roll on Summer :-) Had a quick play to see image quality and how good the IS is.. Tripod Mounted of course Of course, and advice, Tips and comments about the Lens gladly welcomed Steve
  9. Thanks for all the input gang.. Im sure that whatever he goes for will be an amazing step up from his little point and shoot that probably has a lens thats the size of your thumb Nail, and a sensor thats as big as yor little finger nail :-) With the digital age not many Peeps print their images anymore, and not at anything larger than A4 etc etc, and I feel that the Glass that they use must be a better standard than the glass of 10 years ago, so again I'm sure that even the now cheaper Fuji 10 Meg Pixel will give him what he is looking for... as most images are stripped of most size and quality to be uploaded onto super web etc :-) Again thanks for the input, I will send him some links for him to have a look at and read etc :-)
  10. Hello to all, I have been asked by a good friend whom is looking to upgrade from a compact point and shoot, to a Bridge Camera ?? As DSLR is too bulky for what he wants to have in his everyday Bag... So I have not really read up on "Whats a good one" etc, but yonks ago everyone raved about the Fuji Bridge Digitals,... So here is my question.. He is looking at cheap options on our Friendly Auction Sites.... Whats worth looking for for the £75-£100 Bracket ... Many Thanks in Advance Steve :-)
  11. New Lens Delivered Tomorrow

  17. Unfortunately Sunday was cancelled as the Model was poorly.. Im "NO" pro Phil, but using the correct equipment does give some amazing results.. and brand names in this industry have to stay competative.. Richard.. Im an Electrical Engineer, and have to cover the Lower half of the country from Birmingham to Cornwall, Norfolk to Brighton and everything inbetween :-) I just sold my 430ex, as upgraded to the 580exII as performs better with the 7D Cheers Steve

    Frames

I get most of my work ( at the mo ) on Canvas, as a bit modern etc, as frames do seem to sometimes take over the print Steve
  19. I am my Boss lol, and most of my shoots are " After Work" as then we are all relaxed, what lights do you use, and are they all stobes?? or ambient too... I have sooooo many reflectors, and some always come out, as they are small enough... Cheers Steve
  20. I have a new shoot tomorrow, so Studio equipment back out, and on location.. Just wondered if anyone else uses Strobes, Softboxes, Brollies etc ???? Doing a shoot for a make up Brocure, so Nails and Make up stuff lol... I use Ellinchrom equipment, anyone else ??? Cheers Steve
