  1. Never suggested for one second that they would be, I was offering an alternative for clamping to a mobility scooter!

I know I was responding to this

I've got a Hitachi gopro copy, picture quality is fine (and they are £50 on amazon)

  2. Nikon D810 digital camera service advisory

    Dear Mr. Jeremy Rundle,

Our records show that you are a registered owner of a Nikon D810 digital camera.

We would like to inform you that a service advisory has been issued for that product as follows:

To users of the Nikon D810 digital SLR camera

We have received a few reports from some users of the Nikon D810 digital SLR camera indicating that bright spots are sometimes noticeable in long exposures, and in some images captured at an Image area setting of 1.2× (30×20).

After looking into the matter, we have determined that bright spots may occasionally be noticeable when shooting long exposures, and in images captured at an Image area setting of 1.2× (30×20).

Nikon service centers will service these cameras that have already been purchased as needed free of charge to the customer.

    Identifying affected products

To check whether or not your camera is one of those affected by this issue, please click theAffected Product Serial Numbers button below and enter your D810 serial number as instructed. Your camera’s serial number will be checked against those of the affected products. If your camera is one of those affected, you will be given additional instructions. If your camera is not one of those affected, you may continue using your camera without concern for this issue.

    > Affected Product Serial Numbers

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this matter may cause you.

    Regards,

    Nikon Customer Support

  3. Sorry you won't just been told by the Manager of London camera Exchange Plymouth, they got an email this morning

    Recall!

Hells teeth they're not messing about. I knew about the issue and thought it would be a firmware fix, which it should be but I suppose with the D600 debacle they're not taking chances.

Thats the trouble with rushing things to the market, you are 100% Right

  4. He is going to London, mounting the go pro on the handle bars will allow him to record his journey, also as he finds it hard to use a camera he can "video" his visits to museums and one click pressing a button on the gopro takes a 14MP image

  5. It would caost more to repair that to buy a new one.

I got a Nikon 55-300 and only paid about £139-149 for it. It has had so much use already.

I can't remember if I bought it off Amazon or here. https://www.buyacamera.co.uk/home.asp but both have some good sales.

i can post the model number later if you like.

I think the model is discontinued but there were a lot of new ones floating around the net.

This lens always gets good reviews
