Thank you - I wasn't sure about the position of the bird to be honest!

Well captured, I've seen them at WWT Martin Mere but always at a distance.
They do come close here- then again there are many of them Thanks for your comments'

You are so lucky to see them so regularly… I’m green with envy!!
Don't be - I'm just lucky as you say- I'm sure you have stuff in your area I would be jealous of ??

Little Egrets are very common - the Great Egret less so - its a massive bird and you'll know when one appears lol

It's position in the frame on the diagonal piece of grass adds to the composition Lez ... A very nice image in deed!
I did arrange it that way - to give a little impact to the image

Nice capture Lez!
I can never understand why they have that red beak, it makes them stand out to predators surely.... Strange!
Indeed a real attracter for a Marsh Harrier etc

Lee I like the shot although I'm not over keen on the fake sky as the 'sharpness' distracts from the man in the picture. I think if you blur the sky and crop down to the mans' head giving a panoramic feel to the BW shot it would work better. All in all a good attempt.
I'll give that a try - thank you
How's this?

Cheers Les. There are so many of these that we tend to overlook them - often when we see a big moth bomb past our heads there's a good chance it's one of these, they are so common (yet a bonny) creature.
Paul.
I miss thing like this Paul, being a Bird photographer I tend to be looking up most days
