Excellent family shots….I like vignettes for this kind of shoot.

Thank you...vignettes are useful, but as you say, in subtle way's.

Lovely pics for the family album... and I agree with Fooj ... Delicate vignettes can work to help frame a portrait and can be a subtle way to focus attention on a subject. The Bokeh is lovely too ... in fact so much so that it could almost be slightly distracting... yer can't win can yer ....
Thank you...i can see why the bokeh can do that but also great to be able to allow subjects to become speperated from a busy background!

A nice set although I don't understand the need for the dark vignette? It doesn't really bring anything to the picture and for me spoils the overall look about them (sorry). On the up side the bokeh is
Thanks...the bokeh from the Tamron 70-180 is damn goooood

Great landscape with lovely colours. Reminds me of the picture on my tin of coloured pencils when I was young.
Thank you...

Wow. What a beautiful place. Can you swim there?
It sure is and yes, it is used by wild swimmers

You're right, its obviously a totally different prospective - what kind of camera does it use?

Hi everyone,
Sorry I've been absent from the forum the last few weeks. The planets were all out of alignment for all things photography.
Its my turn to choose photo of the week and I note its been a bit quiet on the forum this week. My choice for photo of the week is Rybear's Ceibwr Bay #1 (lucky I don't have to pronounce Ceibwr).
What's not to like about this beautiful landscape? It's composition is spot on with the wildflowers in the foreground, the cliffs in the mid ground and horizon and sky in the back ground. Love the colours. Well done, Rybear.
What a stunning capture...front to back detail. Print, mount, frame and hang on the wall!

Agree with the above comments but can't to think that a nice vignette might work?

These are great but more drawn to the 2nd image because there is a good balance of exposure and isn't too busy in the background.

I'm loving the increase in postings on the forum, though there's a downside - too many excellent images to choose from for POTW. Makes my life tough....so I'm giving out honourable mentions.
I loved JohnP's Robin especially #1. What's not to like? Perfect composition, lovely detail and colour, enjoyed the creativity of MattGrey's, Watching the Sun Go Down, with a snail in the foreground of a seascape, and Lez325's photos of a dragonfly, Almost Like Japanese Art: excellent in detail.
I could have chosen any of these photos. I am, however, choosing Liverpool in Reflection as POTW. A stunning cityscape. Well done, Stravinsky!
Not been on here for some time but just had to look at the bigger picture of this stunning capture...

Another portrait shoot. This time though I did use a portable light.
I also had in mind the type of edit I was looking for and it worked out and the mother loves it to bit's. Now I have to print then frame it!
