Were you tripod mounted and what was the shutter speed Mike. Looks like the subject has been captured by the flash and under ambient light after the flash has gone off. If you were hand held and the shutter speed was low enough, you could have registered some movement either in distance to the subject or laterally caused by camera movement or the subject moving. My thoughts if it helps.
No need to go any further you have sorted it thanks, its a lot of years since i did anything much with close up and flash and had forgotten these things.

I need to decide how to use it, top of my list of choices at the moment is a new thread each week to record my weekly journey, it may mean a mixed bag of images but if that's the way the week was, i have while Sunday to decide.

This Woodpigeon was flying up and down this stream yesterday as well, i wonder if he was watching his reflection, like some of us may do when in a new car and going past a shop window

The main benefit of them is when their time is up they will not leave permanently damaged landscape behind.

Honest you guys this isn't a spit my dummy out post, perhaps speaking for myself I should have studied the forum and put more thought into how you want your forum to run before I joined, I don't know if I want these restrictions placed on me in a leisure activity situation, will put some thought into it.
